
As head of the Scientific Services group within the Medical Strategy & Communications (MSC) practice at Lumanity, Bo is responsible for overall departmental operations to ensure delivery of high-quality scientific content and programming aligned with client strategy. Bo oversees scientific team resourcing, process development, and training initiatives to establish and maintain quality standards that meet or exceed client expectations. She collaborates with other business leaders to instill best practices and promote efficient project execution and interdepartmental functioning.
Bo has over 19 years of agency experience in scientific publications and medical communications across a broad range of therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular/metabolism, infectious diseases/vaccines, device/diagnostics, and women’s health. For many years, Bo served as the scientific lead of multi-faceted global medical affairs accounts, partnering with cross-functional client teams. She has extensive experience in strategic publications planning/execution and is a Certified Medical Publications Professional (CMPP). Bo sits on the MSC Compliance Council, which provides guidance to account teams on the appropriate interpretation and application of Good Publication Practice standards and guidelines.
Bo holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Duke University (Durham, NC, USA) and a BA in Chemistry from Williams College (Williamstown, MA, USA).
