Julia Ralston

Chief Business Officer and Global Practice Lead, Medical Strategy & Communications

Julia joined Lumanity following the acquisition of Cello Health in 2020. She spent the previous 10 years as CEO of Cello Health, US and was a Director on the Cello Health plc Board from 2018 to 2020. Julia came into that organization in 2011 when Cello acquired the medical communication business she had started in 2002.

As Chief Business Officer, Julia leads the Commercial Board in attaining financial and strategic business outcomes, and is heavily involved in the organization’s acquisitive plans and processes. She is responsible for ongoing growth and development of the market-leading Medical Strategy & Communications global practice.

Julia has broad global experience that includes prior roles in Asia-Pacific and Europe, but has spent the bulk of her career in the United States, where earlier she co-founded and successfully grew two healthcare communication agencies.

She is a registered pharmacist and was the first female to hold the peer-elected position of Chair of the International Society of Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) Board of Trustees in 2010-2011.

On the personal front, she enjoys travel, home activities, photography, and music.
