Jürgen Wasem PhD

Jürgen Wasem is professor and director of the institute for health services management and research at University Duisburg-Essen (Germany). He is the chairperson of the arbitration board for the fee schedule of physicians on the national level in Germany, and also chairperson of the arbitration board for prices for digital health apps. Former positions included the chair of the arbitration board on drug prices on the national level, and president of the German Health Economics Association. He serves as an advisor to the German government, to payers and the industry. He research interests are outcomes research, pricing models, health insurance financing schemes.
