
Laura joined Lumanity in 2025. As a Senior Director within Lumanity Patient-Centered Outcomes group, she is responsible for providing strategic and scientific guidance related to the evaluation, development, and validation of clinical outcomes assessments (COAs) and other patient-centered, health-related quality of life research.
Laura has over 25 years of experience in qualitative research, with 16 years in patient-centered outcomes. Her expertise includes study design, literature and COA reviews, semi-structured interviews and focus groups, data analysis, and development of regulatory dossiers, reports, presentations, and manuscripts. Prior to joining Lumanity, Laura served as the Senior Research Leader for the Qualitative team at IQVIA Quality Metric, where she was responsible for leading and advising on a broad range of studies aimed to better understand the patient experience related to conditions, their treatments, and the healthcare system. She has also held positions at The Brod Group, Center for Outcomes and Policy Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Adelphi Values. Laura has conducted research in a wide range of therapeutic areas, including diabetes, dermatology, gastroenterology, hemophilia, hepatology, hypoparathyroidism, migraine, obesity, oncology, sleep disorders, and rare diseases.
Laura holds a PhD in Cultural and Medical Anthropology from the University of Arizona and conducted postdoctoral research in tobacco control and health policy at UC San Francisco.
