Vice President, Patient Centered Outcomes

Paul joined Lumanity in 2025 as an experienced outcomes research scientist in Patient-Centered Outcomes (PCO). In his role as Vice President, Paul devises and oversees research efforts to support the needs of sponsors throughout the asset development lifecycle. Additionally, Paul is responsible for leading the PCO team in the EU and frequently collaborates with other practices within Lumanity to offer holistic solutions to meet client needs.

After leaving academia, Paul joined the healthcare industry and has gained over 18 years of research consultancy experience at various organizations including Evidera, Mapi, and ICON. Paul has a diverse range of research interests which include the use of qualitative methods to understand disease burden and treatment impact, elicitation of health utilities for use in cost-effectiveness evaluations and the use of Clinical Outcomes Assessments in both clinical and real-world settings. Paul also has experience in leading studies employing the use of Delphi panels to establish expert consensus on the development of treatment guidance and in the use of Discrete Choice Experiments to understand the relative importance of benefits and risks associated with individual therapies. Paul has experience in numerous therapeutic areas including oncology, diabetes, rheumatology, dermatology and urology among others.

Paul holds a BSc Psychology (Hons) from Lincoln University and an MRes in Interactive Systems from Lancaster University.
