Jetty Overbeek is Head of PHARMO Research at The PHARMO Institute and has about 15 years of experience in designing and conducting pharmaco-epidemiological studies in several disease areas, with the main focus on diabetes. She has about 50 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and is specialised in studies using the General Practitioner data.
Jetty earned her MSc in Public Health from Maastricht University and her PhD from VU University Medical Center Amsterdam. Her thesis focused on (pharmaco)epidemiological studies regarding type 2 diabetes, its pharmacological treatment and associations with cancer.
