Linda Murphy PhD

Senior Director, Research, HEOR

As a Senior Director, Linda provides health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) support for health technologies, primarily focusing on early-stage activities such as landscaping, evidence-gap analyses, evidence-generation strategies, early HEOR strategy, and stakeholder engagement. Previously, Linda worked as an Assessment Manager in the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) in Ireland for 7 years, where she was part of the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) team. In this role, she supported the conduct of HTAs for medical devices, diagnostics, surgical procedures, and screening programs, as well as the development of HTA guidance.

Linda’s industry experience includes her most recent role in Boston Scientific, where she spent 5 years as part of the R&D Design Assurance team. She was involved in the development of next-generation stent delivery systems, focusing on design control and risk management.

In addition to her industry roles, Linda has held various academic positions, including post-doctoral research roles at Trinity College Dublin and the National University of Ireland, Galway, as well as a part-time lecturer position in Bioengineering at Trinity College Dublin. She holds a PhD in Bioengineering and a BA/BAI in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, both from Trinity College Dublin.

Linda has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented her work at international conferences.
