As the Vice President of Speaker Bureau & Meeting Services at Lumanity, Melissa Tarantino leads the strategic direction and implementation of medical education speaker bureau programs, meetings, and events. She ensures compliance with all OIG, Federal, and State requirements, as well as customer-specific business rules. Melissa oversees a team of experts who excel in meticulous planning and flawless execution of HCP and patient-driven programs, enabling both patient advocates and HCP speakers to deliver their stories and educate others.
Melissa brings close to 20 years of experience in the medical communications industry, focusing on meeting services, speaker bureau management, compliance, contracting, and innovative software solutions. Her expertise spans FDA regulations, PhRMA guidelines, and the Sunshine Act.
Prior to her role at Lumanity, Melissa led successful HCP, nurse, and patient speaker bureaus across multiple therapeutic areas. She is passionate about educating stakeholders on disease states and products, helping both HCPs and patients make informed treatment decisions.
Melissa holds a BBA and is a hands-on leader who stays up to date with industry trends. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys traveling with her family to Disney and planning trips for friends and colleagues, staying busy with her two daughters who are active in sports.
