Ron is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Sheffield in the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR). He previously founded the School and served as Dean for 17 years. He joined the company as a board member in 2012, when the company was known as BresMed.
He is a founding member of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Technology Appraisal Committee and currently serves as a member of the NICE Highly Specialised Technologies Committee, a Scientific Adviser on the NICE Scientific Advice Programme, and a member of the Rare Diseases Advisory Group of NHS (England).
Ron has experience working with a range of governmental bodies, advisory committees and pharmaceutical companies to advise, provide training and develop strategic and implementation plans. He has also been involved in preparing health technology assessment (HTA) submissions in a wide variety of markets including the UK, Sweden, Germany, Australia and Canada.
Recently Ron has focused on providing strategic advice on the design of evidence collection and presentation to support registration and reimbursement in multiple jurisdictions.
