Internship Class of 2025
This summer, I had the privilege of interning with the Lumanity Strategy Consulting Internship Program. Throughout my experience, I was fortunate to be guided by exceptional mentors with Medical Affairs Consulting, including Bianca Lee, Senior Consultant; Jumaah Goldberg, Vice President; Harry Hager, Associate Consultant II; and Stephanie Wong, Consultant. Each of these individuals played a crucial role in my success, teaching me how to effectively drive projects forward, deepening my understanding of the industry, and providing insights into the various types of projects we handle.
I had the opportunity to work on several impactful projects throughout the summer. My primary project was a medical education workshop focused on Rare Epilepsy. My role involved analyzing client provided materials to prepare pre-read materials, creating a workshop agenda and objectives, and supporting the development of the workshop deck. Additionally, I was part of an advisory board for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), where I had the unique experience of listening to physician perspectives, recording insights, and compiling an executive summary. I was also tasked with generating an overview for the medical activities landscape for different drugs in a rare form of the Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) space. These experiences helped me develop skills in material synthesis, competitive analysis, stakeholder communication, and patient advocacy.
This program has confirmed my desire to pursue a career in the industry. I enjoyed working at the intersection of business and science, where the intellectual challenges and broad exposure to the life sciences industry made the experience especially engaging. Moreover, I appreciate the profound impact our work can have on patients’ lives —listening to the perspectives of the patients and healthcare professionals was especially enlightening and rewarding.
What genuinely stood out to me was how seamlessly Lumanity brings together its diverse and unique capabilities within the industry. The Boston office culture offered a positive and community-rich environment. Some of my favorite memories are sitting around the lunch table chatting with my colleagues. The F1 arcade outing and Red Sox games were also fun and a good chance to connect outside of the office. This summer was amazing, and I feel grateful to have been part of the team!
