Winning with PICOs – The Power of Simulation
We are excited to introduce the second episode in our brand-new series of short videos dedicated to exploring the intricacies and challenges of navigating the EU Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Regulation. As we head towards the end of Q2 2025, stakeholders across the healthcare spectrum have been adapting to the significant changes brought about by the application of the EU HTA Regulation.
In this episode, we examine the scope of the joint clinical assessment under the new HTA regulation. The joint clinical assessment now applies for new oncology products, advanced therapy medicinal products and selected medical devices. The scope follows the PICO framework (Population, Intervention, Comparators, and Outcomes) and in this video, we focus on the importance of undertaking a PICO simulation exercise.
But this is just the beginning. Stay tuned for more bite-sized episodes where we will continue to share insights, practical advice, and success stories to help you navigate the evolving landscape of EU HTA.
