We are delighted to share the news that Lumanity is now a certified CarbonNeutral® company. This is a hugely important initiative for our business, our clients, our people, and for the planet, and one that we are very proud of achieving.
Lumanity has chosen to work with Climate Impact Partners, specialist in carbon market solutions for climate action, to offset our greenhouse gas emissions through support of high quality emission reduction projects that not only support the transition to a low carbon global economy but also deliver on the UN sustainable development goals. We’ve worked hard to calculate and understand our carbon footprint, including undergoing an independent assessment of greenhouse gas emissions, in order to better target the key areas for improvement in our emissions. We’ve already put in place several carbon reduction measures, such as renewable energy and using zero-to-landfill waste providers, but we plan to go further and to assess what other reductions we can make across our sites around the world.
We recognize that this is just the beginning. Carbon offsetting is a great way to start our carbon management program and the work we’re doing to understand our carbon footprint will support our longer-term Science Based Targets and Net Zero plans in the future.
