Aree Cheshire PhD

Aree serves as President of Lumanity’s UK Communications team within the Medical Strategy and Communications global practice, responsible for ensuring the successful development and implementation of all Lumanity’s medical and scientific communications activities conducted from the UK. Prior to this, Aree was VP of Client Strategy, ensuring client strategic partnership excellence within the Medical Strategy and Communications global practice. Aree is a change maker ensuring that all medical and scientific communications activities are aligned with our mission to help improve patient health by accelerating and optimizing access to medical advances.

Aree has worked within the healthcare communications industry for over 15 years, establishing strong and effective consultative relationships with senior stakeholders in client companies to guide their key strategic projects, such as R&D target, patient activation, clinical data communication and launch-readiness planning, clinical trial operation strategy, and life-cycle management.

Prior to joining Lumanity, Aree has worked in roles across scientific and client services sides of healthcare communications at independent agencies, as well as those within the Publicis and WPP groups. Prior to embarking on a career in healthcare communications, Aree received her PhD in neuroscience from the University of Birmingham, having completed a joint research doctorate with the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
