Ed Geiselhart
Ed leads the Experience First capability at Lumanity, and is an accomplished advocate for user-centered design and the power of design thinking to make a meaningful difference in helping clients bring innovation to the market. He has over 30 years of consulting experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, with a focus on connecting user insights with business decisions, marketing strategy, innovation planning, and device design.
Ed's background as an industrial designer pairs well his experience using a broad array of research methodologies and techniques. This enables him to lead customer insight research that results in actionable recommendations, communicated in a clear and compelling way, to effectively inform client decisions.
Over the course of his career, Ed has managed numerous projects that have resulted in successful product launches in the medtech space. This includes work on diagnostic and therapeutic devices, surgical devices, drug delivery platforms, and digital assets. He holds over a dozen patents, and has authored and presented numerous thought leadership pieces about the power of user experience and design thinking to inform innovation in healthcare.
Ed is also highly engaged in leading qualitative research projects focused on asset commercialization. His experience extends across a number of study types (journey work, segmentation, TPP evaluation, positioning, and communications) and therapy areas (including oncology, diabetes, respiratory disease, cardiovascular, neurology, and autoimmune conditions).
