Paul Simms
As Chief Information Security Officer, Paul is responsible for leading efforts to develop and deliver data and technology-driven security that meets the needs of clients, complies with ever increasing regulations and legislation, aligns with our values and strategic goals, and contributes to the company’s growth.
Most recently, Paul was Global Director of Cyber Resilience, advising senior management and the central IT team on how to securely and appropriately manage and process sensitive data to meet international standards, the expectations of Lumanity’s clients, and other stakeholders.
Paul is member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security and holds CISSP, CISM, CISA, and CDPSE certification amongst a raft of other IT and Cyber Security qualifications, Paul has over 35 years of IT experience, working in support, network engineering, development, project, and program management – all involving cyber security. He has been advising boards for over 25 years. Paul has worked in various industries, including biotechnology, manufacturing, direct marketing, cruise, land-based hospitality, and retail.
Paul is an active member of the cyber security industry, mentoring and regularly speaking on panels. He is also a co-founder of the Mental Health in Cyber Security Foundation, currently working with professional institutions and government bodies to help safeguard individuals who choose to enter the profession.
