Shera Gruen MPH

Shera Gruen is a seasoned biopharmaceutical executive with deep expertise in product launches, market access, and commercialization strategies across all stages of the product lifecycle. Over the course of more than 20 years at Pfizer, she held a range of senior commercial leadership roles, including Vice President of U.S. and Global Vaccines, where she led a $2B+ portfolio, managed a team of 30, and launched a new adolescent meningitis vaccine.

Throughout her career, Shera has led the commercialization of more than 15 products across therapeutic areas including vaccines, cardiovascular disease, pain management, and neuroscience. She built new organizational capabilities and introduced innovative marketing strategies that created competitive advantage, fueled brand growth, and set new industry standards. Shera is also known for developing award-winning campaigns and forging public-private partnerships that increased immunization rates, positively impacting millions of children in underserved communities.

Following her time at Pfizer, Shera founded an independent consulting practice, advising biopharma companies and healthcare start-ups on launch and commercialization strategy. She recently joined Lumanity as Senior Vice President of Strategy Consulting, where she brings her strategic leadership, deep industry expertise, and passion for advancing public health.

A purpose-driven leader, Shera inspires teams through strategic clarity, collaborative energy, and a commitment to excellence. Her experience is complemented by a multidisciplinary background in life sciences consulting, health insurance, policy, and research. She holds an MPH in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University.
