We are excited to share that Lumanity recently packed and donated 400 snack packs with handwritten notes to provide nourishment and words of encouragement to local children partaking in skiing and snowboard activities with the Youth Enrichment Services (YES) organization.

YES is a private, nonprofit organization that provides affordable and impactful sports-based youth development and leadership programming for Boston children. It was founded in 1968 to encourage youth to experience the transformative power of outdoor activities. The Lumanity Boston Hub team gathered to learn more about YES and how their skiing and snowboarding program helps children in the Boston area learn a fun new activity and grow lifelong skills in the process. Our snack pack contribution will ensure these children stay nourished on their trips to the mountains, and hopefully, our notes will provide a little support on their adventures.

We are dedicated to supporting local organizations through volunteer work, outreach, and donations to benefit our community. We’ve partnered with Life Science Cares (LSC), an organization that is dedicated to motivating the life sciences industry to disrupt cycles of poverty in communities. This partnership organizes in-office events, like assembling kits and backpacks, donating food, and organizing clothing drives. Some out of office activities have include our work with Community Servings, where team members helped prepare meals for people with critical and chronic illnesses in Jamaica Plains. We have also participated in individual service opportunities, where our employees can become a math tutor for local sixth grade students.

We are eager to continue our existing partnerships and look for additional opportunities to help give back to local communities and improve public health and wellness in 2024.
