This summer I had an amazing time interning with the Lumanity Strategy Consulting Internship Program. The training and leadership I received from my advisor, Haley Hashemi, associate consultant, along with mentors Julie Cahill, VP, Consulting and Medical Director Services, and Eric Gustafson, Executive Consultant, was exceptional. Their consistent feedback, introductions to industry experts, and insights into their own career paths have been invaluable in helping me grow and envision a future for myself in life sciences.

I had the opportunity to work with medical affairs on several projects during my internship, including a situational analysis for an oncology therapy, integrated evidence planning for an oncology therapy, and due diligence for a CAR-T cell therapy. Through exposure to multiple projects and case teams, I learned how to communicate with clients, synthesize large data sets into strategic takeaways, and collaborate with different stakeholders within the pharmaceutical industry.

Lumanity stood out to me because of its people—highly intelligent, sociable, and welcoming. The industry and scientific knowledge here is unmatched, and everyone’s intellectual curiosity fosters great conversations. I also appreciate that we can work hard for our clients while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. For instance, company events like the Red Sox game have been some of my favorite experiences, allowing me to connect with colleagues on a more personal level outside of the office. I am thankful to have been part of the Lumanity team this summer!
