Lumanity is excited to announce the addition of nine new early-career professionals to the Strategy Consulting team. This marks the first cohort that spans across our asset and organizational strategy and medical affairs expertise. Our new cohort embraces an array of academic backgrounds ranging from undergraduate, to master’s, to doctorate, in a variety of STEM and business-related fields, which reflects the multidisciplinary richness of our team. Our unique strategy consulting opportunity offers our new colleagues a comprehensive platform for developing a broad range of expertise.

In line with Lumanity’s commitment to cultivating leaders in life sciences, our new hire cohort participated in a comprehensive training and professional development program at the Boston Hub office before joining client case teams.  This onboarding program is designed to expose new hires to both the Lumanity model of strategy consulting and the broader life sciences industry through a combination of, panel discussions, presentations and hands-on skills exercises led by senior leadership.  Training coincides with individual mentorship and peer-to-peer relationship building to ensure new members are supported in their careers from day one.

“Coming from a purely academic background, I found certain training modules, such as those geared toward research, familiar and refreshing, while others introduced me to new concepts—like applying knowledge to client projects and framing an initial ask—and got me thinking about the big picture and how all the pieces fit together,” said Elizabeth Porto, PhD, a new senior associate specializing in asset and organizational strategy. “Overall, I feel supported and welcomed by my new colleagues, and I’m looking forward to growing into my role and the larger Lumanity community.”

Lumanity offers early career consultants exciting professional pathways in three primary areas of expertise: asset and organizational strategy, medical affairs, and clinical and regulatory strategy.  Together these capabilities offer our clients depth and breadth of expertise to develop fit-for-purpose solutions across the product lifecycle.

“Lumanity’s new hire training is both immersive and comprehensive, providing us with the necessary knowledge to approach the industry’s biggest challenges from the perspective of a consultant. The program helped solidify our understanding of the industry as a whole and prepare us for a range of different projects—from launching a new drug to evidence generation planning. Throughout each training module, we were encouraged to develop our ability to think strategically, collaborate, and problem-solve, ensuring that we are equipped with the proper skillset to successfully transition into our new roles,” explains Haley Hashemi, MS, a new associate specializing in medical affairs consulting.
