Susan Daniels
Susan has worked in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare communications for over 20 years, with a particular focus on healthcare professional (HCP) education and training, multi-stakeholder consensus programs, and more recently, patient engagement activity.
As VP of Patient Engagement for the UK Communications business, she is responsible for embedding the principles and best practice of patient engagement across all accounts, and ensuring the right internal training and competency in the business.
As a pharmacist, Susan has extensive experience with multichannel patient communications, particularly in the area of chronic and rare disease, and in translating scientific data and information for a lay audience. She has a particular interest in health literacy.
Susan is a member of Lumanity’s Patient Centre of Excellence and the lead for Lumanity’s Expert Patient Council – both of which drive patient-directed innovation for the company and its clients.
She has completed external, accredited training programs for Patient Focused Medicines Development (PFMD) and the European Patients' Academy on Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI) and is well-versed in all industry code and governance related to patient engagement.
As a blood cancer survivor and advocate, she serves on the Board of Trustees for Lymphoma Action UK and brings lived experience and perspective to all her interactions and projects.
