Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a rare, progressive, and fatal disease of the pulmonary arteries. Patients with PAH face hurdles common to those with rare diseases, including finding accurate disease information, identifying healthcare professionals (HCPs) with the right expertise, getting a timely and correct diagnosis, and receiving appropriate treatment.

As a healthcare communications agency dedicated to the education of HCPs and patients in the rare disease space, Guidemark Health recognizes the importance of supportive information in PAH management. Our decades-long collaboration with key HCPs includes a national PAH speaker bureau of experts who educate on disease information, treatment strategies, and PAH awareness and management solutions.

Additionally, we have worked directly with patients, nurses, and support groups to develop a patient education speaker bureau to provide patients and caregivers with disease education, PAH tracking tools, caregiver tips, and strategies for patients to advocate for their own care.

Providing information to both HCPs and patients underscores the multifaceted nature of PAH care. In recognition of Rare Disease Day, Guidemark Health salutes all rare disease community members championing PAH management and support, including patients and caregivers, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups.
